Maxine, Put Your Dance Shoes On...
We're going to the disco!
Well, no, not really....we're going to San Francisco instead, where my dear friend (and pastry chef) Maxine has started up two new blogs, the first is about her culinary explorations and the second is about her eating adventures in SF. Yay for Maxine!!
While I am already looking forward to her posts, and happy that she is doing well on the west coast, I'd by lying if I said that I was comfortable with the whole SF thing. I mean, what the hell is she doing, going to live so far away? Come back to me, Maxine, so we can write about Atlanta instead!

Hil,
This is totally unrelated, but I was so bummed that I didn't get to go to Savannah last weekend with my family because the main pull of the destination was to eat at The Lady and Sons (Paula Deen's restaurant). I think I have a major non-sexual girl crush on her...does this make me weird?
Love,
KA

Not at all, KA.
Your desires are perfectly normal and I am sure that there are others out there, just like you, that have non-sexual girl crushes on Paula, Giada, Rachel (gasp!) or Cat. It's all good here at couscousit.

You know, I'm not so sure about this San Francisco thing either. As much as I am enjoying eating eating eating, I miss everyone far away so much. No worries, it won't be too long!! Maybe sooner than you think. Love you much! -me maxesr
